Update 3.4.07

Hello friends,

We know it has been a while since we updated the blog, but unfortunately there has been no improvement in Kris's condition. A few weeks ago, we met with the doctors at Sutter Sub-acute about the long term prognosis for Kris. They conveyed to us that due to the extent of the injuries Kris sustained in his fall, the likelihood of any recovery is less than 1%. Since hearing this news, we have been spending more time thinking about what Kris would want in this situation. This has been difficult news to deal with. The support we continue to receive during this difficult time is incredible. Thank you again, and we will keep you updated if there are any changes to report.

We don't pretend to know what Kris would want and we certainly can't
claim to know how hard this has been on all of you. We just wanted to let you know that Kris' memory lives on for both Sara and me. He is an important person in Sara's life, and for me, he's so much a part of my history that it's nearly impossible to think or talk about what's made me who I am without referencing things the bunch of us did through junior and senior high. When we think of Kris and all the many years of memories, for us, letting his body go doesn't have anything to do with letting him go. All of you are in our thoughts.
